If you pay any attention at all, you know that I blog late, like late at night. Because this is when it's quiet at my house, this is when I have time to think for more than 5 seconds at a time.
And the more I think, the more I think I need a late-night BFF (In case you're not young and hip, "BFF" stands for Best Friend Forever.)
I get real bored at night (and during the day) and doing things by myself just isn't as fun as doing them with someone else. I have lots of ideas, so no worries there. All I need is someone to help me live out my late-night dreams.
If we were BFFs, here's an idea of what we could do:
Make cookies.
Ya like cookies, do ya? Well so do I! Annnd, we can make some together. Pretty nifty I'd say. How about these or these? There's no limit to what we can cookie-create...
Watch movies.
Whether it be a major studio presentation or (my personal fav) a Lifetime made-for-tv classic. We'll laugh, we'll cry. It'll be a hoot. I promise. I have extra blankets, for getting cozy, and there's plenty of popcorn here too.
Do crafts.
We can do some crafting! You'll get to hang out with me and take home some snazzy stuff! What could be better?! What about something like this? Or this? What tickles your fancy? We could do multiple crafts in one night or start a project to work on in the coming months. It's your choice.
Watch HGTV (what else is there?!?)
Television at it's finest. We'll get inspired. We'll get jealous. We'll even get angry (House Hunters International...trust me). At the end of the night, we'll have learned lots about houses and feel as if we've traveled the world.
Spy on my neighbors.
This is more fun than you might think. Just go with me on this one. I have this weird retired guy next door who shines his truck with diaper (not really, but close). There's a huge number of people living in a house across the street. They're especially interesting because they weld in their garage (probably building something sinister), they have motor cycles, and they race lawnmowers. If you were here, with me, you wouldn't have to take my word for it...
Look through local realty listings.
Using what we've learned on HGTV, we can scour through local property listings and find the gems...and the not-so-gems. If you have a car, we can even do a couple drive-bys. We can talk about what we'd do to the houses, how we'd decorate or remodel them. Awesome.
Drink hot chocolate.
With the cold months just around the corner, hot chocolate hydration is important. We can sip it (with or without mini-marshmallows) as we go through the above list of activities.
Browse Pinterest together.
If you've fallen prey to this site, you'll understand that this activity could take us hours, maybe even all night. But it would so be worth it! Pinterest is what we'll base our entire evening on, really. Many of our ideas will come from there, they just have to.
Listen to Christmas music (for about 10 minutes).
It's that time of year again! Chestnuts roasting on an open fire and cheap Yuletide tunes gettin' stuck in our heads. We can listen to it on Pandora (to filter out all the really stupid stuff) and make our own Christmas channel. I will warn you though, it won't last long because Christmas music gets old and, well, it's not even Thanksgiving yet.
Tweeze our eyebrows.
This one just goes without saying. It needs to be done, and on a regular basis, so why not do it together?...while drinking hot chocolate, crafting, spying, eating cookies, and watching "Her Desperate Choice" on Lifetime.
Soooo, if any of this sounds like it's up your alley, you know where to find me.
I am now taking applications.
Do you let your late night BFF sleep over if she lives in dsm? :) Sadly, I'm allergic to cookie fumes unless I bring all my own ingredients, but I love crafting and hearting things on etsy, which I think is similar to browsing pinterest and I am willing to learn pinterest! I may not be miss wright, but I could be miss once in a while!! :)
